Mercy Health – Toledo, OH
Mercy Health is looking for a Family Medicine faculty physician who thrives in both patient care and academic mentorship. Based at Lighthouse Way Family Medicine, this full-time faculty role offers a fulfilling mix of outpatient clinical practice and active participation in our long-standing, ACGME-accredited Family Medicine Residency Program.
You'll join a supportive, experienced faculty team that values meaningful relationships—with patients, residents, and colleagues—and works collaboratively to shape the next generation of family physicians. This is a core faculty position, with protected time for teaching and program responsibilities, as well as the opportunity to grow into academic leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Split your time between precepting residents and seeing your own patients (1–1.5 days/week)
- Round on the inpatient service every 4–6 weeks (Thursday to Thursday)
- Participate in resident education through didactics, lectures, mentorship, and recruitment
- Serve on program committees such as the Clinical Competency Committee (CCC) and Program Evaluation Committee (PEC)
- Take part in a predictable and collegial call rotation
- Contribute to the academic life and continued success of a respected, mission-driven residency program
- You’ll be credentialed at Mercy Health – Perrysburg Hospital and affiliated facilities throughout the Toledo region.

Requirements
We’re looking for a physician who is passionate about teaching, committed to high-quality care, and ready to invest in the future of family medicine.
Qualifications
- Board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio
- A genuine interest in academic medicine and resident education
- Strong communication, organizational, and team-building skills
- Prior teaching experience preferred, but not required
